First bass on the original wooden lure

This whole thing started in 2017 with a curiosity in building baits out of wood and using fingernail polish for a clear coat. In 2018, when I took that bait out on the water to see if it would float, I caught a 4.28 lb bass at the end of February on an unusually warm New England day.

I just wanted to see if it would float and instead, I became hooked and this little experiment quickly turned into a passion to see others catch fish on lures I made or painted. Nothing brings me more happiness than to see that big smile on the fishing enthusiast as they hold that fish for a selfie.
